Christmas is just around the corner now and we know you are on the lookout for the best Chrismas Markets in Paris! So, we have decided to round-up our favorites in Paris! From food and gifts to fun and entertainment we have the list for you! Oh and we didn’t forget about the mulled wine (vin chaud!) Be sure to get to the markets soon so that you can finish your Chrismas shopping early and enjoy the holiday spirit and festivities!
Montmartre Christmas Market/Sacre Coeur
One of our favorites because it is nestled in the heart of the picturesque Montmartre neighborhood and not far from us! Here you will find not only one of a kind crafted gifts, but be able to taste some traditional French specialties while being surrounded by the quaint and historic neighborhood itself.
Hours & Dates Open: 10am-830pm Monday-Friday and 10am-10pm Saturday-Sunday from late November until end of December
Location: Parvis de la Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre, 18th arrondissement
Christmas Market at the Place des Abbesses, Montmartre
This petite and festive holiday market placed in the center of hilly Montmartre is filled with joy, artsy gifts! and locals! Be sure to grab yourself a glass of mulled wine or a traditional crepe to get into the holiday spirit. Here you will not only have great food, drinks, and gifts, but also a panoramic view of Paris leaving you in the most joyous and celebratory mood!
Hours & Dates Open: 10am-8pm Every day of the week from late November until end of December

Christmas Market at La Défense
Stroll around the Grande Arche de la Defense while taking in the festive spirit and shopping for those unique and hard to find Christmas gifts. There are more than 300 stands selling artisanal items, regional products, toys and more! The Christmas market at La Défense is one of the largest and most festive markets in Paris so we think its a MUST DO!
Hours: 11am-8pm Monday-Thursday, 11am-10pm Fridays, 10am-10pm Saturdays and 11am-8pm Sundays from November 22 – December 29
Location: Parvis de la Défense (near the Grand Arche)
Alsatian-Style Christmas Market at Gare de l’Est
Located near the train station, this market is well-known for its Alsatian specialties! (This is because this station has the Franco-German region as a destination for travel). This is a fabulous market for artisanal gifts and regional treats such as gingerbread, pretzels, sausages, mulled wine, sauerkraut and many others delicious things!
Hours & Dates Open: 9am-8 pm Monday-Saturday and 10am-7pm Sundays from Dec 5-December 21
Location: Place du 11 Novembre 1918 (outside the station on the main square)
Louvre/Tuileries Christmas Market
This Market features 100 stands, rides and even an ice skating rink! Fun for all and just to be clear, there might be more rides, food, and tourists here than gift vendors! FYI just in case you are looking for a Market to grab a bite to eat while exploring and walking the streets of Paris in December! OH! Also, don’t miss Père Noël in his sleigh flying high above the Tuileries!

Location: Jardin des Tuileries
Christmas Market and Village at place Saint-Germain-des-Prés
This market makes the picturesque St-Germain neighborhood even more so picturesque! This quaint little market and Christmas village is complete with decorations, toys, and delicious treats. This Christmas pop up is located just in front of the St-Germain church, just steps from the metro, which leaves it easy to stop by for a quick look!
Hours & Dates Open: 11am-9pm Monday-Friday and 10am-9pm Saturday-Sunday from December 1-January 1, 2019

Christmas Market at Notre Dame Cathedral
This year a market dedicated to arts, crafts, and fine cuisine is set to spring up on the square Viviani right outside Notre Dame Cathedral! Along with the yearly grand Christmas Tree standing in the center of the square, there will be a wonderful Christmas market to explore! Mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, and even Santa Claus are set to bring the square to life for the holiday season!
