Enjoyable online class

I have really enjoyed taking on-line cooking classes with Chef Eric. My daughter and I recently participated in the 3 course French Bistro class - Poulet Saute Chasseur, Gratin Dauphinois and Panna Cotta, We received the recipes and shopping list several days in advance so there were no excuses for not being prepared. The class was well-paced and completed in an hour and a half. It was really fun talking with the other participants on Zoom and Chef Eric was entertaining as well as informative - lots of helpful hints! The results were delicious and we recreated the meal a few days later for the rest of our family - thumbs up from everybody!
I have taken several classes from Cook'n with Class in Paris and they have always been great. The on-line classes are a different experience, but equally as enjoyable. It's quite satisfying to be able to use your own equipment and create a special meal for your family. I highly recommend it.

French Cooking at Home!

I love Cook’n with Class! The online experience with Eric seems like you are right in the kitchen with him. I especially appreciate his style of providing cultural and historical information along with substitute/alternative ingredients. You can cook along at the same time or just watch and cook later. Having participants from around the world with you adds diversity, expands on the availability of ingredients, and makes you feel like you are traveling. Yetunde prepares us with tips and recipes before classes start. The best promotion I can make is the very positive response from my family—keep these French creations coming!

Last weekend I participated in an on-line class with Chef Eric . What fun...informative, too! We were sent the recipes for Fish in Papillote and Caleriac in Papillote. The recipes are well-written and easy to follow, but there is nothing like watching a chef actually working through all the steps. I have taken many classes at Cook'n with Class in Paris and never been disappointed, but until we can return to France again, this is a really nice alternative. I highly recommend Chef Eric's on-line classes.

Great Cooking Experiences with Chef Eric

We just did an online class with Chef Eric, cooking fish en papillote (parchment) on top of zucchini with a cream sauce. There was also a vegetarian option. Chef Eric was a wonderful teacher.They emailed us the recipes ahead of time so we could do any necessary prep before we cooked with him. Eric’s wife, Yetunde did the chat and relayed any questions to Eric to answer. The meal was delicious! We will make it again!

Several years ago we also did the French Market class at Cook’n with Class Paris. It was also wonderful. We still make the duck breast and several other recipes we learned that day.

We have signed up for the Week in Uzes (Provence) class but we have had to postpone that due to the COVID-19 situation. We hope to be able to travel to France next Spring to cook with Eric and Yetunde for a week in Provence!

Highly recommend this class for anyone serious about cooking and whom wants to be immersed in French cooking and culture

We had a wonderful time attending the "Week in Uzes" cooking class last September. Chef Eric and his wife Yetunde made us feel very welcome. They are warm, friendly and very interesting individuals - with extensive culinary skills and experiences - who are eager to share their expertise and encourage active participation by students in the class.
The weeks itinerary was full, but allowed for some downtime each day. We cooked for about four hours daily, including making bread, preparting appetizers for Apero hour, and creating a three or four course meal in the early afternoon. Dishes were prepared mostly as a group effort; Some individuals chopped and diced ingredients, while others sauteed, braised and baked the dishes. Since six to eight items were prepared each day, individuals got to do a little bit of everything over the course of the morning's cooking.
Students were asked at the beginning of the week what types of food they wanted to learn to prepare. Chef Eric shaped the cooking classes around those interests. Our class chose some exotic foods like octopus, rabbit and squid, as well as more traditional fare like veal, chicken and duck. By the end of the course, we had prepared about 35 dishes and several different breads. Visits to markets in Nimes and Uzes, a small farm and a local winery were both fun and informative. These excursions were a great opportunity to see from where various foods originate and meet the persons who grow and raise these foods.
The course was a great value for the money spent, because it included lodging, almost all meals, cooking classes each day, and all excursions for a full seven days.
We heartily recommend this course for anyone whom is serious about cooking and wants to spend a week immersed in French cooking and culture.

Fabulous Opportunity

This experience was the perfect way to anchor the beginning of my first visit to France. I loved working with Chef Eric and Yetunde, learning new techniques, visiting the markets, practicing my (limited) French, and planning and preparing some amazing meals.The guest house was lovely and very comfortable, the wine tastings and adventures fun, and I fell in love with Uzes. I highly recommend this class.

Perfect Day with Chef Eric and Yetunde

Thank you for the most wonderful day of selecting food in St Quentin La Poterie Market, glass of Rose wine at 10am! Superb! I spent a lovely day preparing and cooking food at Cook'n With Class Uzes last week. Eric has the most wonderful ability to see what's on offer at the market depending on the season and come up with not only a recipe but an entire menu before we've even drawn breath! He's very talented and knowledgeable, not only about the food but also about the history of the food and where it originates from too. Very very talented and we made the most delicious food in such a fun environment. It was a great way to make friends with people from all over the world, hear their stories and how they've come to be in Uzes, share food and wine over a lovely long lunch and go home completely full up. A wonderful day and I can't wait to experience their week-long retreats that they hold throughout the year. Thank you, thank you, thank you Eric and Yetunde.

An exceptional start to our stay in the south of France!

My husband and I attended the half-day French market and cooking class and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Eric and his intern, Samantha, were fantastic hosts. The entire process--from booking to meeting Eric in Uzes, traveling to the market and back to the school for cooking--was seamless.

Eric was an excellent guide throughout the process and allowed us to set our own menu for the day while at the market. Back at the school, he gave clear instructions and was patient with our learning curve. Our finished product (pictured here) was delicious!

We are so glad we began our stay in the Provence region with this cooking class, and highly recommend it to anyone who is in the area and interested in French cooking!

An Amazing Experience

I had been waiting to cook in the South of France for years and the week spent cooking with Chef Eric exceeded all my expectations. Not only did I learn new techniques and recipes but I laughed and made new friends. As a solo traveler I felt comfortable and included at all times. I cannot say enough about the experience. It is great for cooks of all levels. The food was great, the wine was great, Chef Eric and his wife Yetunde are consummate hosts and teachers. Thanks for making the wait worthwhile. I will be back!

BEST cooking class experience ever

We went to the market with Chef Eric to shop for our group meal (as part of our France trip with Nada's Italy). The whole market experience was amazing! All of the produce, flowers, cheeses, meats were SO fresh. I wish we had this available to us at home! We decided on Roast Guinea fowl, green beans, fresh tomatoes with parsley oil and pine nuts, lemon verbena ice cream. Chef Eric was very entertaining and informative, and we all participated in the meal preparation. Needless to say, it was outstanding - and truly memorable! Highly recommend Cook'n with Class Uzes!!!
