Important Information

Class Size: Maximum of 8 participants
Language: All classes are taught in English, French private classes are available upon request.
Availability: Classes are available Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM. We are closed on Mondays and Sundays but private classes can be offered on these days depending on our chefs’ availability. Private classes on Sundays will incur an additional fee of 20%.
Payment Terms: You will initially submit a request. ONLY once approved and accepted will you need to make a payment. Consult the pricing details for the requested class type.

If you have a group with 9 or more participants, you can join us for a Private Large-Group Class, perfect for family reunions, Birthday parties, celebrations, and team-building activities.

Each private class is a hands-on experience led by your dedicated chef instructor, ensuring a memorable and delicious way to bring a piece of UNESCO-protected French culture home. All our classes are taught in English, but we can also offer private classes taught in French upon request.

Our Private Cooking Classes offer a bespoke culinary journey just for you. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your skills with one-on-one guidance or gather friends and family for a shared experience, our private lessons are fully customizable to your tastes and preferences. You just have to let us know what you would like to learn and our chefs will tailor the experience to you, we may offer suggestions or advice to make sure that the class timing is manageable. Each lesson focuses on fresh, seasonal ingredients, allowing you to create authentic French dishes from scratch.

Combined Dessert, Pastry & Advanced Baking Classes**
Duration: 4h
Price: €1387 – Fixed for 1-8 participants

*The market visit is not available for Monday private classes.

** When combining two classes we will modify the number of recipes made from each class e.g. adult macaron classes have 4 flavors of macarons. If you wish to combine macaron + French desserts, you may make 2 flavors of macaron + 2 French dessert recipes for a 4-hour lesson.

How do I request a private class? If you need assistance, start here!

We are thrilled to help you plan your perfect private cooking/baking class in Paris! To ensure we can accommodate your preferred date and time, please submit a booking request below. Our team will review your request and confirm availability. Here’s how to make the request :

Select Your Date: Choose your ideal date from our calendar. Provide any additional available dates in the further information field.
Select a Time Slot: Pick an available time for your lesson.
Provide Details: Let us know what type of class you would like e.g. Macaron Class, or if booking a savory class tell us if you would like to include a market visit. Indicate any dietary restrictions/allergies, and if applicable any specific dishes or skills you wish to learn.

Note: When you submit your request, no payment is required. Once your request is accepted, you will receive an email marked ‘approved’ including a button to submit payment. Payment is due within 48 hours.

How is my request confirmed? When do I pay?

Once we have reviewed your request, if approved, you will receive a confirmation email with a payment request. You will have 48 hours to submit your payment after receiving an ‘accepted’ email from us. If there is a reason that we cannot accept your request we will be in touch with you by email to make any suggested amendments.

Once you’ve selected the type of private lesson you wish to have between our Savory cooking classes (Market, Cooking lesson with meal, or Sauce Making Class) or Dessert, Pastry & Baking Classes, you will be able to enter further details for your request.

Can the duration of the private class be changed?

Depending on which class type you select, we may be able to alter the duration of your lesson. Keep in mind that the length cannot be altered for all lesson types. Please note that as a privatized experience a change in duration may not affect the overall price.

Can I join this class if I have allergies or dietary restrictions?

We can’t accommodate everything but it is easier to accommodate any special requests or needs in a privatized lesson than a group class. So please let us know what type of class you are interested in and if you have any allergies or restrictions that our chef will need to keep in mind.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my class?

Cancellation Timeframe:

All private class bookings must be canceled within a specific timeframe to be eligible for a refund or rescheduling. The cancellation timeframe is as follows:

A minimum of 30 days before the scheduled start time of the class.

Refunds and Rescheduling:

a. Cancellations made within the specified timeframe:

If a private class booking is canceled at least 30 days before the scheduled start time, you will be eligible for a partial refund of the booking fee less a 30% penalty, or you may choose to reschedule the class without any additional charges.

Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be mutually agreed upon by both parties.

b. Cancellations made outside the specified timeframe:

Private class bookings canceled less than 30 days before the scheduled start time will not be eligible for a refund.

In such cases, rescheduling the class may be possible, subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

Please note that any private class booking canceled less than 7 days before the scheduled start time is no longer eligible for either a refund or postponement.

c. Changes to the number of participants:

Any changes to the number of participants included in the initial quote, if we are able to accommodate the request, will be subject to a price adjustment. These changes are acceptable up to 15 days before the scheduled start time and are subject to availability (of our space and our staff). After this time frame, no changes are possible that would increase the number of participants, and any adjustment decreasing the number of participants will not incur a partial refund of any kind.

Communication:

To initiate a cancellation or rescheduling request, please contact our office via email at info@cooknwithclass.com. This ensures that your request is received promptly and can be addressed effectively.

Exceptions:

a. Force Majeure:

In the event of unexpected circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, severe weather conditions, or any other force majeure events, we may consider refunding or rescheduling the private class even if it falls outside the specified cancellation timeframe. Such decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.

b. Instructor Unavailability:

If the assigned instructor becomes unavailable due to illness or any other unforeseen circumstances, we will offer the option to reschedule the class at no additional cost or provide a full refund.

c. Client Violation:

If a client violates the terms and conditions, exhibits disrespectful behavior, or engages in any other inappropriate conduct, we reserve the right to refuse a refund and cancel future bookings.
