Duchess Potatoes
Up your mashed potato game with these architecturally beautiful duchess potatoes
Ingredients
- 250 Grams(1/2 pound) Potatoes
- 50 Grams(1.5 oz) Butter
- 1 Egg
- Salt and Pepper
- pinch Nutmeg
Instructions
- Peel and wash the potatoes, cut them into big cubes. Boil them in a large saucepan with water and a little bit of salt. Cook until ready to mash.
- Drain all the water, mash using either a hand masher or a ricer.
- Melt the butter and add to the hot potato mash, add salt and pepper, add nutmeg if you like, and mix gently with a wooden spoon. When 10 minutes and add the beaten egg, mix well. Fill up a piping bag, fitted with the large starred tip, and make 4 large and tall towers.
- Bake at 180ยบC (350ยบF) until golden brown.
