Want to learn how to improve knife skills in your cooking? Could your knives use a bit of sharpening? You can learn knife skills that will have you chopping like a pro in our French cooking knife skills class. This is a class to sharpen your knife skills – pun intended. Your chef will decide on the menu focusing on products that will allow you to improve your technique, and gain speed and accuracy in your cooking.
While we will not be visiting the market in this class, all products used will be fresh and seasonal as always. Your chef will teach you how to properly clean, store, keep sharp, & hone your knife like a pro, we’ll start our hands-on lesson. You will use your well-sharpened knife to practice your knife skills through different cuts & shapes of vegetables, filleting fish, & deboning poultry. Of course, you will be well rewarded for your hard work and precision with a delicious sit-down meal… and wine!
The sumptuous meal that you will create will always involve seasonal produce from our local market, but you can expect to cook:
Pan-seared sea bream fillet with leeks sautéed
Sauce vierge (virgin sauce)
Pan-fried quails with a minute sauce and potatoes
Citrus salad flambeed with Grand Marnier
